Profiles in Leadership

John Buerger

John D. Buerger, CFP®, FPA of Ventura County Chapter's 2017 President comes across as an experienced leader - because he is. This will be his re-entry into the Presidency of this chapter. He served two terms in 2013 and 2014, and with over ten years of experience as an FPA member he has been through the ups and downs that most chapters go through. President Buerger has faith in the chapter, its purpose and its members. His goal for the coming year is to see the chapter become "robust." It should be the place where new, younger planners come and learn, he says. He firmly believes there is a lot to gain through association, attending meetings and getting to know those who have traveled the road ahead of them.
